
Ciavarella Oxley Estate is a family-owned winery focused on making small quantities of premium wines.
Oxley Estate has been described as ‘a tiny gem.’ In our vineyard, no single variety of grape exceeds a plot of around one and a half acres. Among our vines is a tiny patch of the rare grape aucerot, of which we are the sole custodians in Australia. Our output is limited.
We handcraft every wine, working to no fixed timetable, but preferring to keep a close watch as the wines progress at their natural pace. We are passionate about developing our own unique blends, such as White Port made from aucerot and verdelho, and our Dolcino, a sweet cabernet-merlot with a dry finish.
When you visit our cellar door, you will often find us going about daily vineyard and winery work. If you have the time, we can slow down for a chat and answer any questions — sometimes with a short tour of the barrel room and a personalised tasting of wines in development or upcoming vintages.
