Milawa-Oxley Bike Trail
A sealed bike trail runs beside the Snow Road across the flats between Oxley and Milawa (distance - four kilometers). Along the way you will see an old 1880s red-brick flour mill (a favourite with photographers), and in season, a field of yellow flowers as you pass the crop of Milawa Mustards. There's also Walkabout Apiaries, with a range of single flower honeys and mead.
Milawa
Milawa is famed for its local and regional produce, with many venues providing tastings. At the Milawa crossroads you'll find Milawa Mustards and The Olive Shop. Along Factory Road, there's the Milawa Cheese Factory and Bakery. For lunch, Brown Brothers Epicurean Centre offers modern-Australian dishes with wine matches. Nearby is Lindenwarra Country House, a boutique hotel that caters for larger groups as well as couples. Quality motel accommodation is available at Milawa Lodge.
