Oxley Estate 2005 Chenin Blanc
A classic dry chenin blanc with delicate cut grass and lime leaf, lingering melon and citrus flavours enhanced by a crisp acid finish. We manage our chenin blanc vines to produce low yields with real varietal flavour. The balance of the delicate flavours, crisp acidity and clean dry finish make this wine the perfect match for delicately flavoured fish, seafood (prawns, whiting, crayfish), and especially with Thai dishes. It also serves as an excellent aperitif.

Oxley Estate 2006 Bianca
A medium sweet blend of viognier and chardonnay with orange blossom, apricot and perfumed musk aromas. Zesty citrus and tropical fruit flavours linger on the palate. Serve chilled.
Winemaker comments:
Our 2006 Bianca is a blend of viognier (63%) and chardonnay (37%), late-picked in April. The wine has a fantastically perfumed aroma, full of blossom and apricot and the palate is full of those and tropical fruit flavours. The level of sweetness sees the Bianca suited as a table wine for folk who like sweeter styles, as a match with cheese and fruit platters or lighter desserts or can be enjoyed on its own. It has a screwcap closure.

Oxley Estate 2005 Graciano Merlot
This is where Spain (graciano) meets France (merlot) in what is certainly not a traditional blend, but which works for exactly the same reasons that cabernet and merlot marry so well. This is a brilliant crimson wine, intensely fragrant with great structure and length. It's full and generous, with flavours of plums, violets, ripe berries, pepper and spice, complemented by loads of velvety tannins. It has great cellaring potential. Enjoy with a steak or a rack of lamb.

Oxley Estate 2006 Chardonnay
Spring frosts do nothing for grape yield but a lot for quality. The 2006 Chardonnay is a fine follow-up to the 2005, which won a string of awards. Unlike the '05, however, the tiny volume made makes it ineligible for entry to most wine shows. So, while the medals may not get pinned to its chest, we believe it in as equal wine to its predecessor and a fine example indeed. Highly rated by James Halliday, who described it as great value and with plenty of life ahead of it.
The 2006 shows classic chardonnay flavours, with ripe melon, honeydew, peach, hints of vanilla and tropical fruit. The palate is balanced by crisp acidity, giving a clean, dry finish. Enjoy with chicken, a salmon steak or seafood.
Awards: Winestate Magazine, 3½ stars, 2009, "Spicy guava bouquet with a lovely citrusy lift. Austere Chablis-style palate with long, lingering varietal flavours"; James Halliday Australian Wine Companion 2010 Edition, 4 ½ cups, 92 points.

Oxley Estate 2005 Late Harvest Semillon Aucerot
This is a luscious and complex wine exhibiting aromas of apricot, marzipan, citrus and almond. It is sweet without being cloying. With supportive acid and real presence in the mouth, it has textures and flavours that should only improve bottle age. We do not make a late harvest wine every year; only when the weather remains dry into autumn to allow the fruit to be ripened fully on the vine. Match with desserts such as lemon tart, orange polenta cake or fruit & cheese platters. Serve chilled.

Oxley Estate White Port
Made from the traditional white port variety, verdelho, and the rare aucerot, this port has flavours of raisins, orange rind, almonds and dried apricots. It is a relatively young, fresh style, with added complexity from barrel aging and hints of rancio character. The great thing about this port is its versatility. You can use it as an aperitif, or to end the evening; you can chill it in summer, or sip it by the fireside in winter. It is equally happy at a silver service dinner or a winter campfire. White port is a rarity in Australia, and has a strong following from a growing band of eager fans. Enjoy with nuts, dried fruits or almond bread.

Oxley Estate Dolcino
Dolcino in Italian means 'little sweet one' - an apt descriptor for this wine which has a style of its own. It is a sweet red made from cabernet and merlot, with the structure and complexity of a dry red, with ripe berry fruits and soft tannins. This structure and the tannins balance the sweetness, so the wine starts full, ripe and sweet at first taste, but has a clean, dry finish. We have tailored this style to meet the tastes of many of our visitors who have stated that they 'wanted to like red wine', but couldn't make the leap from whites to red. Dolcino, we thought, would be the stepping-stone. It's excellent with spicy food, fruit, and stronger tasty cheeses. Serve chilled.
